Hot Section Inspection (HSI)
PT6 series engines have proven to be very reliable. To ensure continued safe operation, the manufacturer requires a Hot Section Inspection (HSI) to be performed at scheduled intervals. This scheduled interval is at the halfway point to the engines Time Before Overhaul (TBO).
Hot section inspections are also performed on an unscheduled basis, as dictated by the maintenance manual, for certain performance degradation problems or over-temp situations. The assembly can be removed and shipped to our facility for repair or we offer “on-wing” hot section inspections by our qualified field service technicians. We understand that time is money and pride ourselves on quick turn-around times to get you up and flying.
Our in-house hot section inspection includes teardown, cleaning, inspection, assembly and balancing of the assembly. Our zero grind hot sections ensure very tight tolerances, so that when the operator installs the components on the engine, very little to no grinding is necessary.
All work is accompanied with a FAA 8130-3 certification. FAA Certification and Capabilities List.
